13ACKGROUND
The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Grant Award for Capital expenditures for FY 2004
can be increased from $286,411 to $403,574. With a contribution of $113,603 from the
City, it will allow Transit to purchase two (2) 35 foot accessible transit coaches at a cost of
$517,177 to replace two of our old, high mileage buses, which are not ADA accessible.
The City-Lift bus previously programmed in the budget will not be purchased.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The anticipated expenditure for this project is $517,177. The Federal share is $403,574.
To complete the project a local match of $113,603 is required of which $71,603 is included
in the approved Pueblo Transit 2004 budget, with an additional $42,000 needed to be
transferred from the City's General Fund reserve to the FY 2004 Pueblo Transit's budget.
