AN ORDINANCE CHANGING ZONING RESTRICTIONS FROM A-1 TO S-5 COVERING A
PARCEL OF LAND COMMONLY KNOWN AS YMCA COMMUNITY CAMPUS, FILING NO. 1
WHICH IS LOCATED EAST OF PARK WEST BUSINESS CAMPUS, FILING NO. 2 (SPAULDING
AVENUE AND WEST 29TM STREET)
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
The zoning restrictions covering the following described property be changed from A-l,
Agricultural One District, to S-5, Private Open Space District, and upon passage of this ordinance,
zoning restrictions affecting S-5, Private Open Space District shall apply to said property:
LOT 1, BLOCK 1, YMCA COMMUNITY CAMPUS SUBDIVISION,
FILING NO. 1
and more commonly known as:
EAST OF PARK WEST BUSINESS CAMPUS, FILING NO. 2
(SPAULDING AVENUE AND WEST 29TM STREET).
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon final passage and approval.

ISSUE
Shall City Council approve a request to rezone the property from an A -1,
Agricultural One District to a S -5, Private Open Space District for the purpose of
developing recreational facilities for the YMCA Community Campus and Golf
course?
RECOMMENDATION
The Planning and Zoning Commission voted unanimously (7 -0) to recommend
approval of the rezoning.
BACKGROUND
The applicant requests rezoning of 157 acres from A -1 to S -5 concurrent with a
request for creating a single lot subdivision of the same size. These requests
follow a Master Plan approved in 2003. The Pueblo Comprehensive Plan
designates this area as Institutional Mixed Use. Use and development proposed
for this site match the designated land use.

None.
