HomeMy WebLinkAbout07170 ORDINANCE NO. 7170 AN ORDINANCE CHANGING ZONING RESTRICTIONS FROM A-1 TO S-5 COVERING A PARCEL OF LAND COMMONLY KNOWN AS YMCA COMMUNITY CAMPUS, FILING NO. 1 WHICH IS LOCATED EAST OF PARK WEST BUSINESS CAMPUS, FILING NO. 2 (SPAULDING AVENUE AND WEST 29TM STREET) BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. The zoning restrictions covering the following described property be changed from A-l, Agricultural One District, to S-5, Private Open Space District, and upon passage of this ordinance, zoning restrictions affecting S-5, Private Open Space District shall apply to said property: LOT 1, BLOCK 1, YMCA COMMUNITY CAMPUS SUBDIVISION, FILING NO. 1 and more commonly known as: EAST OF PARK WEST BUSINESS CAMPUS, FILING NO. 2 (SPAULDING AVENUE AND WEST 29TM STREET). SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon final passage and approval. RECOMMENDATION The Planning and Zoning Commission voted unanimously (7 -0) to recommend approval of the rezoning. BACKGROUND The applicant requests rezoning of 157 acres from A -1 to S -5 concurrent with a request for creating a single lot subdivision of the same size. These requests follow a Master Plan approved in 2003. The Pueblo Comprehensive Plan designates this area as Institutional Mixed Use. Use and development proposed for this site match the designated land use. FINANCIAL IMPACT None.
