Whereas, the City of Pueblo has allocated $50,000 to the 2004 School Crossing Guard Program, and Whereas, this allocation was erroneously carried forward from an early draft of the 2004 budget, and Whereas, the School Crossing Guard Program is funded by surcharge revenue received from Municipal Court, and Whereas, year -to -date balances indicate the surcharge revenue will sufficiently cover the additional allocation, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that .q Fr.TInN 1 Funds in the amount of $11,634 are hereby appropriated for use in the 2004 School Crossing Guard Program. .qFrTInN 9 Through this action the 2004 School Crossing Guard Program budget will be increased to $61,634. ISSUE Should the City Council amend the 2004 budget to allocate an additional $11,634 to the School Crossing Guard Program increasing the budget to $61,634. RECOMMENDATION Approval of Resolution BACKGROUND The Transportation Department requests the budget for the 2004 School Crossing Guard Program be increased by an additional $11,634 to a total of $61,634. The program has been allocated $50,000; however, this number was erroneously carried forward from an early draft of the 2004 budget. The allocation should have been later corrected to $61,634. FINANCIAL IMPACT The School Crossing Guard Program is funded by surcharge revenue received from Municipal Court. Year -to -date balances indicate the surcharge revenue will sufficiently cover the additional allocation of $11,634.
