ORDINANCE NO. 7132
AN ORDINANCE VACATING THE DRAINAGE AND DETENTION EASEMENT
LYING WITHIN A PORTION OF LOT 11, SOUTHERN COLORADO MEDICAL
CENTER SUBDIVISION, FILING NO. 2
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO, that:
SECTION 1.
A drainage and detention easement lying within a portion of Lot 11, Southern Colorado
Medical Center Subdivision, Filing No. 2, and more particularly described as follows:
A portion of the Drainage and Detention Easement located within a portion of Lot 11,
Southern Colorado Medical Center, Filing No. 2, filed for record on May 1, 2002 at
Reception No. 1437614 in the records of the Pueblo County Clerk and Recorder,
County of Pueblo, State of Colorado. Being more particularly described as follows:
COMMENCING: At the SE corner of said Lot 11, thence S 88 0 23'38 "W, along the south
line of said Lot 11, a distance of 305.00 feet, to the southwest corner of said easement;
thence N 01 0 36'22'W, along the west line of said easement, a distance of 290.00 feet
to the POINT OF BEGINNING; thence continuing N 01 0 36'22 "W, along the west line, a
distance of 143.70 feet; thence S 30 0 13'29 "E, along the easterly line of said easement,
a distance of 105.91 feet; thence S 43 0 23'38 "W a distance of 71.74 feet to the POINT
OF BEGINNING.
is hereby vacated.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon final passage and
approvpl.

ISSUE
Shall City Council approve the vacation of a drainage and detention easement?
RECOMMENDATION
The Planning and Zoning Commission voted 6 -0 at their regular meeting of
February 11, 2004 to recommend approval.
BACKGROUND
The applicant is requesting to vacate a drainage and detention easement located
on vacant land north of South Parker Boulevard and south of Highway 50 West
in order to construct a garage to house maintenance equipment for the Assisted
Living Center. The Subdivision Review Committee (SRC) recommended that the
vacation be approved.
