ORDINANCE NO 6995
AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF THE 20 FOOT ALLEY LYING EAST OF
LOT 1, BLOCK 4, WESTROADS SUBDIVISION, FIRST FILING
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO, that:
SECTION 1
The portion of the 20 foot alley lying east of Lot 1 Block 4, Westroads Subdivision, First
Filing, and more particularly described as follows
Beginning at the Southeast corner of said Lot 1, Block 4, said point also being
the Northerly Right of Way of Highway 50 West; Thence N 00° 24' 34" E along
the East line of said Lot 1 a distance of 76 70,
Thence along a curve to the left a distance of 39 24 Feet, said curve having a
radius of 25 00 Feet and a central angle of 89° 56' 20 ",
Thence N 89° 39' 06" E a distance of 44 97 Feet to the East line of Alley way;
Thence S 00° 24' 34" E along said east line a distance of 105 89 Feet to the
Northerly Right of Way of said Highway 50 West;
Thence N 78° 26' 57" W along said Right of Way a distance of 20 44 Feet to the
Point of Beginning
Said Alley way containing 0 05 acre more or less,
is hereby vacated, reserving however to the City of Pueblo the southerly, 20 feet
thereof for pedestrian, sanitary sewer and traffic control devices and use
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon final passage and
approval

ISSUE
Shall City Council approve the vacation of a portion of an existing alley
easement?
RECOMMENDATION
The Planning and Zoning Commission voted 6 -0 to recommend approval
BACKGROUND
The applicant is requesting to vacate a portion of an alley, approximately 105 89'
in length, in order to allow future commercial development of the site All of the
conditions of approval from the Planning and Zoning Commission have been
addressed to the satisfaction of the Director of Public Works
