TITLE
AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE STREET NAME OF PLATTEVILLE
BOULEVARD TO DILLON DRIVE AS IT CURRENTLY EXISTS FROM
ELIZABETH STREET WESTERLY TO THE CITY LIMIT LINE.
ISSUE
Shall City Council approve a request to change the street name of Platteville
Boulevard to Dillon Drive as it currently exists from Elizabeth Street westerly to
the City limit line?
RECOMMENDATION
The Planning and Zoning Commission voted 6 -0 to recommend approval.
BACKGROUND
This proposed name change complies with the City's long -range corridor
transportation plan. Additionally as this area is developed and realigned through
subdivision, the proposed roadway name will be consistent as demonstrated by
a portion of the new Platteville Blvd. having been recently platted and approved
by the City with the Eden Commercial Center project. As part of the rename
process, the City will sign the area and notify existing property owners that are
affected.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
None; the street will be resigned as part of the signage schedule, which had
previously included this street under its previous name.
