HomeMy WebLinkAbout06976ORDINANCE NO. 6976 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 4 OF TITLE XI OF THE PUEBLO MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO DOG AND CAT LICENSING BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: (brackets indicate matter deleted, underscoring indicates matter added) SECTION 1. Section 11- 4 -43(a) of the Pueblo Municipal Code is amended to read as follows: (a) It shall be unlawful and a Class 2 municipal offense for any person to own, keep or harbor a dog or cat over the age of [four (4)] lix-M months within the City without obtaining a license for such dog or cat. SECTION 2. Section 11 -4-48 of the Pueblo Municipal Code is amended to read as follows: It shall be unlawful and a Class 2 municipal offense for any person other than the Shelter Operator or non - profit organizations approved by the Shelter Operator to display any dog or cat in a public place for the purpose of selling or giving the dog or cat away. Public p /ace shall include, but not be limited to, streets, highways, sidewalks, areas exterior to shops or businesses, carnivals and flea markets. SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall become effective upon final passage and adoption.
