HomeMy WebLinkAbout06905ORDINANCE NO. 6905 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE GOODNIGHT BARN ACQUISITION CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT AND BUDGETING AND APPROPRIATING $220,000 FOR SAME WHEREAS, City Council supported a grant application to the Colorado State Historic Fund to secure funding for the acquisition of the historic Goodnight Barn; and WHEREAS, the City of Pueblo received notification from the Colorado Historical Society of a grant of $165,000 in January 2002 for the acquisition of the Goodnight Barn; and BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1 A $220,000 Capital Improvement Project is established and known as the Goodnight Barn Acquisition Project. SECTION 2 Funds in the amount of $220,000 are hereby budgeted and appropriated for the Goodnight Barn Acquisition Capital Improvement Project from the following sources: $26,050 from the Elizabeth Hudspeth Park Fund, $13,000 from the Pueblo County Historical Society, $15,950 from the Frontier Pathway National Scenic & Historic Byway and $165,000 from the State Historic Fund. SECTION 3 This Ordinance shall become effective upon, and the funds hereby budgeted and appropriated shall be expended after the execution of separate agreements with the entities identified in Section 2 committing funds for the acquisition of the Goodnight Barn.
