HomeMy WebLinkAbout06869ORDINANCE NO. 6869 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF CHAPTER 10 OF TITLE IX OF THE PUEBLO MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE DISTRIBUTION OF ADVERTISING MATERIAL, THE LICENSING THEREOF AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS THEREOF BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: (brackets indicate matter omitted, underscoring indicates new matter) SECTION 1 follows: Section 1 of Chapter 10 of Title IX of the Pueblo Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as Sec. 9 -10 -1. Advertising distributing; license required. It shall be unlawful for any person to distribute or hand out handbills, cards, samples or other matter used to advertise services, products, entertainments or for any other commercial purpose for which advertising matter, signs, posters, circulars, dodgers, cards, bills or devices calculated to attract the attention of the public are used, without first obtaining a license therefor. SECTION 2 If any provision of this Ordinance should be held invalid, the invalidity of such provision shall not affect any other provision of this Ordinance. SECTION 3 Any violation of this Ordinance shall be a municipal offense and shall be punished as provided by §1 -2 -1 of the Pueblo Municipal Code, as amended. SECTION 4 This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon final passage.
