HomeMy WebLinkAbout06803ORDINANCE NO. 6803 AN ORDINANCE CHANGING ZONING RESTRICTIONS FROM I -2 TO R -2 COVERING A PARCEL OF LAND COMMONLY KNOWN AS 1802 WEST 17 STREET BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. The zoning restrictions covering the following described property be changed from I -2, Light Industrial District, to a R -2, Single - Family Residential District, and upon passage of this ordinance, zoning restrictions affecting R -2, Single - Family Residential District shall apply to said property: LOTS 20, 21, 22 TO LOT 25, BLOCK 35, IRVING PLACE SUBDIVISION 2ND FILING, and more commonly known as: 1802 WEST 17 STREET. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon final passage and approval. COVERING A PARCEL OF LAND COMMONLY KNOWN AS 1802 W. 17 Street. ISSUE Shall City Council approve a request to rezone the property for the purpose of bringing the existing single family home into compliance with the zone district? RECOMMENDATION The Planning and Zoning Commission voted 5 -0 to recommended approval of the rezoning. BACKGROUND The applicant is requesting the property be rezoned from I -2, Light Industrial District, to R -2, Single - Family Residential District, to allow the property to be zoned for sale as a Single- Family residence. The P &Z Commission at their regular meeting on February 13, 2002 voted to recommend approval. FINANCIAL IMPACT None
