HomeMy WebLinkAbout06627ORDINANCE NO. 6627 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF A GRANT APPLICATION WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES, ADMINISTRATION FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES, FOR FISCAL YEAR 2001 -2002 FEDERAL FINAN- CIAL ASSISTANCE FOR THE HEAD START PROGRAM WHEREAS, the City of Pueblo has for a number of years been the grantee of grants from the Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, for federal financial assistance for the head start program, and WHEREAS, the City of Pueblo has or will submit a grant application for fiscal year 2001- 2002 federal financial assistance for the head start program. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1 The President of the City Council or the City Manager as the President of the City Council's duly authorized designee is hereby authorized to execute and file for and on behalf of the City of Pueblo a grant application with the Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, for fiscal year 2001 -2001 federal financial assistance for the head start program ( "Grant Application "). SECTION 2 The President of the City Council or the City Manager as the President of the City Council's duly authorized designee is hereby authorized to execute and deliver in the name of the City of Pueblo, and to bind the City of Pueblo thereto, the Grant Application and all assurances, certifications, disclosures and other documents required by the Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, and applicable law and regulations for the purpose of obtaining federal financial assistance for fiscal year 2001 -2002 for the head start program.
