A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A CONVEYANCE OF REAL PROPERTY TO' PUEBLO, A
MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, FROM EUGENE SKUBAL FOR ROADWAY PURPOSES
WHEREAS, Eugene Skubal has conveyed to the City of Pueblo the property described in
the attached deed; and
WHEREAS, the property is necessary for the extension of Nelson Avenue to Pearl Street;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
The Deed, a copy of which is attached hereto, having been approved as to form by the City
Attorney, is hereby approved and accepted.
SECTION 2.
The City Clerk is directed to cause said deed to be recorded in the office of the Pueblo
County Clerk and Recorder.

A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A CONVEYANCE OF REAL PROPERTY TO PUEBLO,
A MUNICPAL CORPORATION, FROM EUGENE SKUBAL FOR ROADWAY
PURPOSES
ISSUE
Should City Council accept a 30' R.O.W. for the extension of Nelson Avenue to Pearl
Street from Eugene Skubal.
RECOMMENDATION
Approval of this Resolution.
BACKGROUND
This year, City Council has approved a CDBG project to improve the drainage on
Nelson Avenue and extend Nelson Avenue to Pearl Street to promote in -fill
development. Existing Nelson Avenue deadends approximately 225' east of Sumner
Avenue. There are numerous problems trying to redirect the drainage in the street back
to the west. The preferred solution is to extend Nelson Avenue through the existing lots
to the east to Pearl Street. This would solve the drainage problems and eliminate a
deadend street. Mr. Eugene Skubal, the owner of the property needed for the street
extension, has agreed to deed the City the required property.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Accepting the right -of -way has no fiscal impact, as the land is being donated. The funds
to extend Nelson Avenue to Pearl Street will be from 2003 CDBG Funds.
