AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE 24 OF THE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PUEBLO, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION
AND INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIRE FIGHTERS LOCAL 3 FOR THE
CALENDAR YEARS 2000, 2001, 2002
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO that:

Article 24 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement entered into September 13, 1999,
between the City of Pueblo, a Municipal Corporation and International Association of Fire
Fighters Local 3 for the calendar years 2000, 2001, and 2002, is hereby amended as follows:
ARTICLE 24. FAMILY MEDICAL COVERAGE.
Commencing January 1, 2000 the City shall contribute for each fire fighter [$98.14]
$138.14 plus one -half (1/2) of the difference between the full cost on the individual plan and
[$98.14) $138.14 The City shall pay the amount of $209.27 plus one -half (1/2) of the difference
between $209.27 and the actual cost of a family premium toward the cost of any policy other than
individual, provided that the maximum contribution by the City shall not exceed [$281.00] $301.0
per month. The Union and City will meet and confer in the determination of hospital and medical
benefits to be provided under such health care plan; provided however, if the Union and City are
unable to mutually agree as to the benefits to be provided under such health care plan, the City
reserves the right to determine and select such benefits as well as the insurance company or
other provider of health care benefits for such plan; provided further that such benefits will be
comparable to those described herein. However, if an employee lives outside the service area of
such plan, the City reserves the right to pay to such individual the City's contribution under the
plan.
SECTION 2
This Ordinance will be effective immediately upon final approval.
