ORDINANCE NO. 6154
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING THE AREA COMMONLY KNOWN
AND DESCRIBED AS 1201 EAST NORTHERN AVENUE
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has
recommended that the area described in Section 1 hereof be
annexed to the City of Pueblo; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has heretofore found and deter-
mined by Resolution that the Petition For Annexation and the
area described in Section 1 hereof to be in compliance with the
notice and other applicable provisions of the Municipal Annexa-
tion Act of 1965 and C.R.S. X31 -12 -104, 105 and 107 (1); and
WHEREAS, the City Council has by Resolution found and
determined that an election is not required under C.R.S.
X31 -12- 107(2) and no additional terms and conditions are to
be imposed upon the area described in Section 1 other than
those set forth in the Petition For Annexation; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO,
that:
SECTION 1.
The following described area situated in Pueblo County,
Colorado, is hereby annexed to Pueblo, a Municipal Corporation,
subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Petition
For Annexation, and the official map of the City shall be
amended to show such annexation:

A parcel of land described in Special Warranty
Deed filed for record February 24, 1996 in
Book 2640 at Pages 806 -811 in the records of
the Pueblo County Clerk and Recorder, which
reads as follows:
A tract of land located in the SW 1/4 SE 1/4
Section 6, Township 21 South, Range 64 West
of the 6th Principal Meridian, in Pueblo County,
Colorado, as follows:
Beginning at the northeast corner of the said
SW1 /4 SE 1/4, Section 6, thence S 00 0 05' W
along the easterly line of the said SW 1/4
SE 1/4, Section 6, a distance of 59.58 feet
to a point on the north line of the vacated
Northern Avenue; thence along said vacated
Northern Avenue for the following seven
courses:
S 78 11' 30" W, a distance of 53.98 feet to a
point; thence S 82 0 16'30" W, a distance of 57.87
feet to a point; thence S 80 0 53' W, a distance of
58.58 feet to a point; thence S 80 11' W, a dis-
tance of 29.80 feet to a point; thence S 78 57'
30" W, a distance of 85.48 feet to a point; thence
S 69 1 56' W, a distance of 88.77 feet to a point;
thence S 65 a distance of 96.71 feet to a
point which is the southeasterly corner of Parcel
26 Rev. of Department of Highway project SU 0168
(1); thence N O1 23' E, a distance of 195.17 feet
along the east line of Parcel 26 Rev. of Department
of Highways Project SU 0168 (1) to a point on the
north line of the said SW 1/4 SE 1/4, Section 6
which point is located S 88 1 37' E, a distance of
862.91 feet from the northwest corner of said
SW 1/4 SE 1/4, Section 6; thence S 88 0 37' E,
along the north line of the said SW 1/4 SE 1/4,
Section 6, a distance of 447.09 feet to the point
of beginning, containing 1.168 acres, more or less.
SECTION 2.
Within thirty (30) days after the effective date of the
Ordinance the City Clerk shall:
(a) File one copy of the annexation with the original
of this ordinance in the office of the City Clerk;

(b) File two certified copies of this Ordinance and
annexing map with the Pueblo County Clerk and Recorder;
(c) File one certified copy of the annexation map and
this Ordinance with the Southeastern Colorado Water Conser-
vancy District.
SECTION 3.
The City Council hereby consents to the inclusion of the
annexed area in the Southeastern Colorado Water Conservancy
District pursuant to C.R.S. §37 -45 -136 (3.6).
SECTION 4.
This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
final passage and the annexation shall be effective for ad
valorem tax purposes on and after January 1, 1997.
