Re: Grant No. CO -03- 0065 -00
I am pleased to advise you that your application for a capital program grant authorized by
49 USC § 5309 (formerly Section 3) has been approved in the maximum federal amount of
$200,000. Consistent with the objectives of the Livable Communities Initiative, these funds will
be used to assist the City in the construction of its new downtown transit center and are
supplemental to funds provided under CO -90- X089 -00.
The project will serve as a national demonstration of how customer - friendly, community- oriented
and well designed transit projects can help make communities more livable. I encourage you to
continue to implement land use and transportation policies supportive of increased transit
ridership because transit system utilization is an important measure of the success of this project.
Enclosed are three copies of the Approved Project Budget and three counterparts of a Grant
Agreement executed on behalf of this Administration. Instructions which you should follow in
executing these counterparts also are included.
If you have any questions on the enclosed grant materials, please contact Donald D. Cover, at
(303) 844 -3242.
Sincerely,
s
