ORDINANCE NO. 5896
AN ORDINANCE VACATING ALL OF RICHMOND AVENUE
BETWEEN MECHANIC AND CENTRAL MAIN STREETS AND
ALL THE ALLEY BETWEEN MECHANIC AND CENTRAL
MAIN NORTHEAST OF RICHMOND AVENUE, AND ALL THE
ALLEY IN BLOCK 56, HOBSON'S SUBDIVISION, AND
A PORTION OF CENTRAL MAIN STREET
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO, that:
SECTION 1.
All of Richmond Avenue lying between Block 60 and Block
61 as platted in Hobson's Subdivision, of a part of the
City of Pueblo, according to the Amended Plat of a
portion of said Subdivision, filed for record October
26, 1887 in the Pueblo County records and being bounded
on the Northwest by Central Main Street:
All of the Alley in said Block 60:
All of Richmond Avenue lying between Block 1 and Block 4
as platted in the former town of Central Pueblo, now a
part of the City of Pueblo according to the recorded
plat of said town, filed for record August 13, 1883, in
the Pueblo County records and being bounded on the
Southeast by Mechanic Street:
All of the Alley in said Block 1;
All of the Alley lying Southwest of Lots 10 through 14,
in Block 56 as platted in Hobson's Subdivision, of a
part of the City of Pueblo, according to the Amended
Plat of a portion of said Subdivision, filed for record
October 26, 1887 in the Pueblo County records and being
bounded on the North by Hobson Avenue and on the East by
the Easterly line of said Lot 10 extended Southerly to
the former AT &SF Railroad Right of Way.
All that part of Central Main Street more particularly
being described as follows:
Commencing at the Southwest corner of said Block 60,
being the most Southerly corner of Pueblo Center Filing
No. 1 as recorded in the Pueblo County Records in Book
2408 at Page 525. Also being the Northwesterly line of
Block 60 of said Hobson's Subdivision Amended: Thence,

N 44° 58' 35" E, along Southeasterly Boundary of said
Pueblo Center Filing No. 1, a distance of 250.82 feet
to the Point of Beginning:
Thence, along a curve to the left, a distance of 146.53
feet, said curve having a radius of 366.53 feet and a
central angle of 22° 54' 20 ": Thence, N 12° 36' 07" E,
a distance of 63.11 feet to a point on the Easterly line
of said Pueblo Center Filing No. 1: Thence, S 04° 20' 49"
W, along said Easterly line, a distance of 51.62 feet:
Thence continuing along said Easterly line, S 00° 25' 00"
E, a distance of 73.26 feet to a point on the Northwesterly
line of Block 60 of said Hobson's Subdivision Amended,
Thence, S 44 58' 35" W, along said Northwesterly line,
a distance of 98.82 feet to the Point of Beginning,
are hereby vacated, reserving, however, to the City of Pueblo and
utitlity owners the right at all times to repair, maintain, operate
or replace existing utilities and sewer and water lines and mains,
together with the right of ingress and egress to accomplish same.
SECTION 2.
The reservation set forth in Section 1 hereof shall automati-
cally terminate upon recording in the Pueblo County Clerk and Re-
corder's office a verified statement of the Director of Public
Works of the City of Pueblo certifying that all utilities and sewer
and water lines and mains existing in said vacated streets have
been removed or abandoned.
SECTION 3.
This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon final
passage and approval.
