AN ORDINANCE FIXING SALARIES FOR THE PRESIDENT
AND MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL AND AMENDING
CHAPTER 1 OF TITLE II OF THE 1971 CODE OF
ORDINANCES RELATING TO COMPENSATION OF BOARDS
AND COMMISSIONS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: (Brackets
indicate material being deleted; underscoring indicates new
material being added.)

Effective January 1, 1994, the monthly salaries for the
president of the City Council and members of the City Council are
fixed in the following amounts:
President of the City Council - $500.00
Members of the City Council - $400.00
The salaries of incumbent councilpersons shall not be
increased during their current terms and their monthly salaries
during their current terms shall remain in the following amounts:
President of the City Council - $250.00
Members of the City Council - $200.00
SECTION 2.
Article 1 of Chapter 1, Title II of the 1971 Code of
Ordinances is hereby amended to read as follows:
2 -1 -1: COMPENSATION OF ELECTIVE BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS
Effective January 1, 1994, [E] member of the follow-
ing boards and commissions shall receive the monthly compen-
sation set forth after the name of such board or commission:
Civil Service Commission . . . . . $[96.00] 192.00
Board of Waterworks . . . . . . . [90.00] 180.00
The compensation of the Board of Waterworks shall be
paid from revenues realized from the operation of the water
system of the City.
SECTION 3.
Article 2 of Chapter 1, Title II of the 1971 Code of
Ordinances is hereby amended to read as follows:
2 -1 -2: COMPENSATION OF APPOINTIVE BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS
Effective January 1, 1994, [A] members of the
following boards and commissions shall receive as compensa-
tion the sum of [five dollars ($5.00)] ten dollars ($10.00)
for each regular meeting actually attended by such member:
(1) Planning and Zoning Commission
(2) Zoning Board of Appeals (the Planning and
Zoning Commission member of this Board shall
be compensated as all other members of said
Board)
[(3) Board of Tree Trimmer Examiners]
[(4)] (3) Board of Elections (+ $60 full compensation
for Election Day)
[(5)] (4) Liquor and Beer Licensing Board
Ex officio members of such Boards and Commissions shall
not receive any compensation or expenses for attendance at
regular meetings, but may be compensated for special meetings
attended, when provision in this Code is made for such
compensation.
SECTION 4.
All ordinances and resolutions in conflict with the provi-
sions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.
SECTION 5.
This Ordinance shall become effective upon final passage but
the salaries and compensation provided for herein shall become
effective January 1, 1994.
