HomeMy WebLinkAbout06937ORDINANCE NO. 6937 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING, ACCEPTING, APPROPRIATING FUNDS AND CREATING PROJECT #PD0210 FOR FEMA GRANT AGREEMENT NO. EMW- 2002 -FG- 04893, ASSISTANCE TO FIREFIGHTERS GRANT PROGRAM, FOR FIRE OPERATIONS AND FIREFIGHTER SAFETY, AND AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF CITY COUNCIL TO EXECUTE INSTRUMENTS ACCEPTING SAID GRANT WHEREAS, by resolution 9547 Council authorized a grant application to be submitted on behalf of the City of Pueblo to the Federal Emergency Management Agency ( "FEMA ") under its Assistance To Firefighters Program and; WHEREAS, FEMA has tendered a grant agreement No. EMW- 2002 -FG -04893 (the "Grant Agreement ") to the City in the amount of $56,320.00 for such purpose, and with a required City funding match of $24,136.00 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1 The Grant Agreement, a true copy of which is attached hereto, having been approved as to form by the City Attorney, is hereby approved and accepted. SECTION 2 City matching funds required under the terms of the Grant Agreement shall not exceed $24,136.00 and are hereby authorized to be transferred from the fiscal year 2002 contingency account. Project #PD0210 is hereby created and funds in the amount of $80,456.00 are appropriated and authorized for expenditures. SECTION 3 The President of the City Council is authorized to execute and deliver any instruments required to effect acceptance of the Grant Agreement on behalf of the City. SECTION 4 This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon final passage and approval.
