ORDINANCE NO. 5587
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING THE AREA COMMONLY KNOWN AND
DESCRIBED AS A PORTION OF THE PUEBLO MEMORIAL AIR-
PORT - U. S. HIGHWAY 50 EAST BYPASS
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended that
the area described in Section 1 hereof be annexed to the City of Pueblo; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has heretofore found and determined by Reso-
lution that the Petition for Annexation and the area described in Section 1
hereof to be in compliance with the notice and other applicable provisions
of the Municipal Annexation Act of 1965 and C.R.S. §31 -13 -104, 105 and
107(l); and
WHEREAS, the City Council has by Resolution found and determined that
an election is not required under C.R.S. §31 -12- 107(2) and no additional
terms and conditions are to be imposed upon the area described in Section 1
other than those set forth in the Petition for Annexation: NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO, that:
SECTION 1.
The following described area situated in Pueblo County, Colorado, is
hereby annexed to Pueblo, a Municipal Corporation, subject to the terms
and conditions set forth in the Petition for Annexation, and the official
map of the City shall be amended to show such annexation:

ANNEXATION A: A parcel of land located within the County of Pueblo,
State of Colorado, to wit:
A parcel of land being a portion of Sections 25 and 26, Township
20 South, Range 64 West and a portion of Sections 29 and 30 of
said Township 20 South, Range 63 West of the 6th Principal Meridian
being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the north right -of -way line of U.S. Highway
No. 50 at its intersection with the west line of the SW`- of said
Section 26, said point also being the northwest corner of the Annexa-
tion to the City of Pueblo according to the recorded plat thereof
recorded in Book 2427 at Page 776 in the records of the Pueblo County
Clerk and Recorder from which the West 1/4 corner of said Section
26 bears N 00 40' 22" W, a distance of 2323.99 feet; thence N 00
40' 22" W along said west line of Section 26, a distance of 300.00
feet; thence N 89 21' 08" E, a distance of 4769.58 feet; thence
N 87 55' 59" E, a distance of 3070.69 feet to a point on the
apparent westerly right -of -way line of Paul Harvey Boulevard; thence
along the said apparent westerly right -of -way line the following two (2)
courses: 1) N O1 49' 46" W, a distance of 987.00 feet; 2) westerly
along the arc of a nontangent curve to the left whose center bears
S 54 42' 32" W and whose radius is 452.50 feet and having a central
angle of 56 40' 29 a distance of 447.60 feet; thence N O1 57' 57"
W, a distance of 137.50 feet to a point on the apparent northerly
right -of -way line of William White Boulevard; thence N 88 02' 03" E
along said apparent right -of -way line a distance of 625.20 feet;
thence N 01 31' 15" W, a distance of 1459.00 feet; thence
N 88 25' 39" E, a distance of 9538.93 feet; thence S O1
38' 31" E, a distance of 822.30 feet to a point on the
apparent northerly right -of -way line of United Avenue;
thence westerly along said northerly right -of -way line
the following two (2) courses: 1) along the arc of a non -
tangent curve to the left whose center bears S 14 51' 30"
E and whose radius is 3974.76 feet and having a central
angle of 09 44' 00 ", a distance of 675.23 feet; 2) S 65
24' 30" W, a distance of 319.40 feet; thence N 24 35' 30"
W, a distance of 110.10 feet; thence westerly along the
arc of a curve to the left whose radius is 540.00 feet and
a central angle of 66 57' 51 ", a distance of 631.12 feet;
thence S 88 26' 39" W, a distance of 5062.11 feet to a
point on the apparent westerly right -of -way line of Keeler
Parkway; thence S 01 31' 26" E along said westerly right -
of -way line a distance of 399.80 feet to a point on the
apparent northerly right -of -way line of Aviation Avenue;
thence S 88 27' 39" W along said northerly right -of -way
line a distance of 975.66 feet to a point on the apparent
westerly right -of -way line of Skyway Street; thence S O1
31' 26" E along said westerly right -of -way line a distance

of 1703.65 feet to a point on the apparent southerly right -
of -way line of William White Boulevard; thence easterly
along said southerly right -of -way line of William White
Boulevard the following four (4) courses: 1) N 88 29' 21"
E, a distance of 1275.66 feet; 2) N 01 31' 26" W, a
distance of 163.82 feet; 3) N 88 25' 20" E, a distance
of 3075.87 feet; 4) along the arc of a curve to the left
whose radius is 872.20 feet and a central angle of 39 18'
35 ", a distance of 598.40 feet; thence southerly along the
arc of a non - tangent curve to the left whose center bears
S 57 11' 47" E and whose radius is 260.89 feet and having
a central angle of 34 23' 14 ", a distance of 156.58 feet;
thence S 01 35' 01" E, a distance of 236.74 feet; thence
N 87 55' 59" E, a distance of 521.82 feet; thence N 03
37' 29" E, a distance of 402.74 feet; thence easterly along
the arc of a non - tangent curve to the left whose center
bears N 05 19' 49" E and whose radius is 605.06 feet and
having a central angle of 00 28' 25 ", a distance of 5.00
feet; thence S 03 37' 29" W, a distance of 477.56 feet to
a point on the northerly right -of -way line of the Atchison
Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad; thence westerly along said
northerly right -of -way line the following five (5) courses:
1) S 87 55' 59" W, a distance of 5787.79 feet; 2) N 02
04' 01 " -W, a distance -of _100.53 feet; 3) S 87 55' 25" W,
a distance of 249.80 feet; 4) S 02 26'27" E., a distance
of 50.50 feet; 5) S 87 51' 20" W, a distance of 75.08 feet;
thence S 00 07' 04" W, a distance of 150.00 feet to a point
on the southerly right -of -way line of the Atchison Topeka and
Santa Fe Railroad; thence westerly along said southerly right -
of -way line the following three (3) courses: 1) S 87 55' 59"
W, a distance of 4458.33 feet; 2) westerly along the arc of a
curve to the right whose radius is 11509.16 feet and having a
central angle of 01 25' 09 ", a distance of 285.07 feet; 3)
S 89 21' 08" W, a distance of 4630.62 feet to the point of
beginning. Said parcel contains 374.99 acres, more or less.
ANNEXATION B: A parcel of land located within the County of
Pueblo, State of Colorado, to wit:
A parcel of land being a portion of the SEZ of Section 30,
Township 20 South, Range 63 West of the 6th Principal Meridian
being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point from which the SW corner of Section 26,
Township 20 South, Range 64 West bears S 85 05' 26" W (all
bearings used herein are based on the West line of the SW- of
Section 26, Township 20 South, Range 64 West to bear N 00

40' 22" W, the WZ corner is an axle in concrete, the SW
corner is aluminum monument property stamped), a distance
of 15,564.81 feet; thence southerly along the arc of a non -
tangent curve to the right whose center bears S 00 01'16"
W and whose radius is 560.00 feet and having a central angle
of 53 04' 07 ", a distance of 518.68 feet; thence S 18° 19'
56" W, a distance of 251.29 feet; thence S 87 55' 59" W, a
distance of 398.97 feet; thence N 03 37' 29" E, a distance
of 477.56 feet to the point of beginning. Said parcel contains
4.06 acres, more or less.
SECTION 2.
Within thirty (30) days after the effective date of the Ordinance the
City Clerk shall:
(a) File one copy of the annexation map with the original of this Ordi-
nance in the office of the City Clerk.
(b) File two certified copies of this Ordinance and annexing map with
the Pueblo County Clerk and Recorder.
(c) File one certified copy of the annexation map and this Ordinance
with the Southeastern Colorado Water Conservancy District.
SECTION 3.
This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon final passage
and the annexation shall be effective for ad valorem tax purposes on and
after January 1, 1991, and for sales and use tax purposes on and after May 1,
1990.
