AN ORDINANCE AMENDING RULE 37 OF CHAPTER 13 OF TITLE
VI OF THE 1971 CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
PUEBLO, RELATING TO COMPUTATION OF SERVICE FOR SENIORITY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PUEBLO, COLORADO THAT: (Brackets indicate material
being deleted, underscoring indicates material being
added).
SECTION 1
Rule 37 of the Civil Service Rules of Chapter 13 of Title
VI of the 1971 Code of Ordinances of the City of Pueblo is
hereby amended to read as follows:
RULE 37: COMPUTATION OF SERVICE
Wherever in these Rules, reference is made to this particular
Rule or wherever reference is made in general to length of service
or seniority, computation of such service shall include time the
employee has been on military leave, sick leave, or time off with
pay due to injury in line of duty, but shall not include time the
employee was on special leave without pay or absence without leave
[or time off for disciplinary purposes].
SECTION 2
This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon final
passage and approval. If any section, subsection,clause or
phrases of this Ordinance shall be declared invalid for any
reason, such declaration shall not effect the validity of the re-
maining portions of the Ordinance.
