HomeMy WebLinkAbout03283ORDINANCE NO. 3283 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO THE CITY OF PUEBLO A CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND LYING AND SITUATED IN THE SWk OF SECTION 22, AND THE NW's OF SECTION 27, T.20 S., R.65 W., 6TH P.M., BEING A PORTION OF SANDER'S SUBDIVISION, FIRST FILING, AND A PORTION OF WEST 22ND STREET. 123 � l8 � 9 0 ti JUN 1969 RECEIVED CITY CLERK BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO, that: SECTION I. A petition was filed with the City Council of Pueblo on May 19, 1969 for annexation to the City of Pueblo of certain territory hereinafter described; and all maps and plats therefor were filed as required by law; that said pe- tition was signed by the owners of more than fifty percent (50 %) of all said territory. SECTION 2. It has been found by the City Council that said territory herein de- scribed be annexed to the City of Pueblo and that: (a) it is not less than one -sixth (1/6) of the peri- meter of the area proposed to be annexed is con- tiguous to existing City Limits of the City of Pueblo; (b) a community of interest exists between the terri- tory proposed to be annexed and the City of Pueblo; (c) the territory proposed to be annexed is urban and will be urbanized in the near future; (d) the territory proposed to be annexed is integrated or is capable of being integrated within the City of Pueblo; It is further found that said territory is not: (a) land in one ownership; (b) that it doesn't contain land in one ownership with an assessed ad valorem tax value in excess of $200,000 including improvements, and; (c) that annexation proceedings have not been com- menced by another municipality; And it is further found that all other requirements of The Munici- pal Annexation Act of 1965 of Article 21 of Chapter 139 of the 1965 Perm. N Cum. Supp. to C.R.S. 1963 have been met. 50a SECTION 3. That the following described territory be and the same is hereby annexed to Pueblo, a Municipal Corporation; and the maps and plats of said territory be, and the same are, hereby approved and confirmed and the execution and filing thereof as provided by law is hereby ordered and directed, to wit: A certain parcel of land lying and situated in the SWk of Section 22, and the NWk of Section 27, T.20 S., R.65 W., 6th P.M., being a portion of Sander's Subdivi- sion, First Filing, and a portion of West 22nd Street (all lots and blocks referred to in the following de- scription are in Sander's Subdivision, First Filing), said parcel being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point on the existing City Limits line where the southerly right -of -way line of West 22nd Street intersects with the said City Limits Line; thence westerly along the southerly right -of -way line of West 22nd Street a distance of 520.04 feet, more or less, to a point where the rear lot line of Lots 12and 13, Block 9, would intersect the southerly right -of -way line of West 22nd Street if extended South; thence northerly across West 22nd Street and along the rear lot lines of Lots 13 to 19, inclusive, Block 9, a distance of 495.73 feet, more or less, to the northwest corner of Lot 19, Block 9; thence easterly along the north line of Lot 19, Block 9, a distance of 105 feet to the westerly right - of -way line of Moline Avenue; thence easterly across Moline Avenue a distance of 50 feet to the northwest corner of Lot 6, Block 10; thence easterly along the north line of Lot 6, Block 10, a distance of 105 feet to the northeast corner of Lot 6, Block 10; thence northerly along the westerly line of Lots 20 to 23, in- clusive, a distance of 249 feet to the northwest corner of Lot 23, Block 10; thence easterly along the north line of Lot 23, Block 10, a distance of 105 feet to the westerly right -of -way line of Lewis Avenue; thence ea- sterly across Lewis Avenue a distance of 50 feet to the northwest corner of Lot 2, Block 11; thence easterly along the north line of Lot 2, Block 11, a distance of 105 feet to the east line of the SWk of Section 22 and the existing City Limits Line; thence southerly along the easterly line of Lots 2 to 12, inclusive, Block 11, which line is also the City Limits Line, and across West 22nd Street a distance of 751.73 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. Said parcel of land contains 7.63 acres, more or less. SECTION 4. That upon final passage of this ordinance the territory hereinabove described shall be annexed to the City of Pueblo, a Municipal Corporation, ex- -3- cept for general tax purposes, and said annexation shall be effective for the purpose of general taxation on or after January 1, 1970.
