AN ORDINANCE VACATING STREETS AND EASEMENTS LYING
NORTHEAST OF THE INTERSECTION OF IRONWEED DRIVE
AND CEDARWEED BOULEVARD
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO, that: -
SECTION 1.
STREET VACATION DESCRIPTION:
All of the East 227.41 feet of 47' Street, as platted in University Hills Subdivision, Filing
No. 1, according to the recorded plat thereof, filed for record June 9, 1986.
EASEMENT VACATION DESCRIPTION:
The drainage right -of -way and utility easement in a portion of Parcel B, as platted in
University Hills Subdivision, Filing No. 1, according to the recorded plat thereof, filed for
record June 9, 1986 and being more particularly described as follows:
Considering the East line of the SE' /< of Section 7, Township 20 South, Range 64 West
of the 6 th P.M. to bear S. 00 °46'08" W. and all bearings contained herein being relative
thereto.
Commencing at the Easternmost corner of Parcel B, thence S. 41 0 00'49" W., along the
East boundary line of said Parcel B, a distance of 243.86 feet to the True Point of
Beginning of the parcel of land herein described; thence along the boundary of said
Parcel B the following two (2) courses;
1. S. 41 0 00'49" W., a distance of 180.95 feet;
2. N. 84 0 36'10" W. a distance of 277.41 feet
thence Northeasternly, along the arc of a curve to the left, whose center bears N.
05 0 23'50" E. and whose radius is 450 feet, a distance of 374.58 feet to the Point of
Beginning.
are hereby vacated.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon final passage and
approval.

ISSUE
Shall City Council approve a request to vacate streets and easements lying
northeast of the intersection of Ironweed Boulevard and Cedarweed Boulevard?
RECOMMENDATION
The Planning and Zoning Commission voted 7 -0 to recommend approval subject
to the following condition: The approval of Subdivision S- 02 -08.
BACKGROUND
The applicant is subdividing 11.5 acres for a single family housing development
within the northeast corner of the University Park neighborhood. This subdivision
necessitates the realignment of a portion of 47 Street to a location closer to the
drainage easement. This roadway was originally platted within University Hills
Subdivision, Filing No. 1. The Subdivision Review Committee recommended to the
Planning & Zoning Commission that this street and easement vacation be
approved contingent upon passage of Subdivision S -02 -8.
