That Section 2 of Ordinance 5590 entitled, "An Ordinance concernin the con— struction, renewal and repair of sidewalks in the City of Pueblo ", passed and approved June 5th, 1893, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: SECTION 2 All sidewalks hereafter built within the City of Pueblo, shall be of the following width, thickness and dimensions. In the business portion of the City twelve feet (12) wide and in the residence portion of the City six (6) feet wide. All six (6) foot sidewalks on the north side of the Arkansas River shall be laid in the center of the twelve (12) foot space or three (3) feet from the street line and three (3) feet from the curb line. All six foot sidewalks on the south side of the Arkansas River shall be laid four (4) feet from the curb line and two (2) feet from the street line. All sidewalks twelve feat (12) in width in the business portions of the City whether of stone or cemenn, shall have a stone curb, of at least si -1 (6) inches in thickness and of sufficient depth to extend into the gournd, at least twice as far as the same extends above the rrrpde of the gutter. All stone hereafter laid in sidewalks, in the business portion of the City shall be at least four (4) inches thick and not less than six (6) feet, laid transversely by three (3) feet on the surface. All stone her after laid in sidewalks in the residence portion of the City shall be at least two (2) inches thick in the thinnest part thereof, and either six feet (6) in length, by not less than two (2) feet, six (6) inches in width on the surface thereof, or not less than three (3) feet by three (3) fe: *t on the surface. All stone laid in sidewalks in the City of Pueblo, must be laid with close close joints, cut square without any feather edge joints and free from lumps and off sits, and if not naturally of a smooth surface must be chiseled off so as to present an even and smooth surface when completed. All cement sidewalks shall ba laid according to specifiactions on file in the office of the City Lngineer, All sidewalks not laid accordin to this Ordinance or the specifications in the office of the City Engineer, as herein provided, may be ordered realid at the expense of the owner of the property or the contractor as the case may be. Wooden sidewalks laid within the City limits shall be according to the following sepecifiactions, viz: Their shall be built of two (2) by six (6) inch plank planed on the upper side and laid one half (z) inch a,9- Plank to be six (6) feet long and nailed to £our (4) by four (4) inch stringers with 40d, cut nails or giro nails five (5) inches 1&ng, six (6) nails to each plank.
