AN ORDINANCE to authorize the issuance for and on behalf of Public Improvement
District , #2 of the City of Pueblo, of bonds to pay for the improvements thereof.

Section 1.
That under and in pursuance of a law of Colorado entitled "An Act to provide for
the creation of districts be benefited by certain public improvements, and of a
bonded indebtedness for the purpose of making such improvementstt, approved April 10,
A.D. 1891, and in full compliance therewith hereby found and declared as in council
proceedings heretofor had and recorded that the City of Pueblo, acting for and on
behalf of public park improvement district #2 of said city, be and is hereby author-
ized to issue bonds numbered consecutively from one (1) to twenty -one (21) both in-
clusive dated November 20th A.D. 1899, of the denominations at par of five hundred
dollars ($500.00) each payable in United States gold coin of its present standard of
weiht and fineness, or its equivalent, in 15 years from date thereof and redeemable
in 10 years at the City Treasurers office in the City of Pueblo, Colorado, bearing
interest at the rate of five per cent per annum, as evidenced by interest coupons
numbered consecutively from one to thirty, both inclusive, attached to each such
bond payable in like gold coin of the same standard, or its equavalent, semi- annually
on the 20th day of May and the 20th day of November of each year, at the office of
said City Treasurer in said City of Pueblo, or at the First National Bank in the '-ity
of New York, at the holders option, both principal and interest payable out of the
revenues to be derived from the special taxes provided for by said Act, and authorized
by the proceedings of said Pueblo City Council, as aforesaid.
Section 2.
Said bonds shall be denominated ttCity of Pueblo, Colorado Five Per Cent Park
Bonds, Issued On Behalf Of Public Park Imporvment District No.2 They shall be duly
signed by the Mayor and City Treasurer, on behalf of the City, and of said Park Im-
provement District No.2 with the corporate seal of said City attached, and duly
attested by the City Clerk, and Auditor, and the coupons thereof shall be signed by
the engraved signatures of said Mayor and City Clerk, and shall then be deemed and
held to be of the same binding force and effect as if signed in writing by the officers
signing said bonds, and shall be certified before sale as duly registered in the
office of the County Clerk of *.Pueblo County, Colorado. The form and substance of
said bonds and coupons, certificate and endorsement shall be that submitted by a
committee consisting of City Attorney G.W. Collins, City Clerk Oscar Q. McNeil,
and Attorney G.L. Knight, appointed by the City Council to draft the same, and
adopted by the City Council at a reular meeting thereof on January 3rd, 1900.
Section 3.
That the action heretofor taken whereby said bonds were advertised for sale, and
bids received and opened and accepted therefor, also rescinding of the bid first
accepted, and substitution of another therefor, be and the same are hereby expressly
ratified and apporved, and the execution and issuance and sale of said bonds to the
purchaser whose bid was finally accepted therefor, is hereby expressly approved and
ratified as are also all acts and doings of said City Council in the premises,._..__—._ T
