AN ORDINANCE fixing a license fee and regulating Junk Stores.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF Ui;BLO, �i)LOIJADO.
Section 1.
That from and after the passage of this Ordinance it shall be unlawful for any
company, corporation or person to engage in and carry on the business of Junk
Dealer or dealers commonly known as Junk Shops or Stores without first having ob-
tained a license thereBf.
Section 2.
Any company, corporation or person desiring to engage in the business of Junk
Dealer or Dealers, shall make applicati� for a license therefor to the City Council
stating in said application the name of the person desiring to engage in said bus-
iness and the proposed place of business accompanied by certificate of the City
Clerk that the fee has been paid.
Section 3.
The City council may, if it is satisfied that the applicant is a suitable
person to carry on the business of Junk Dealer, order a license to issue to said
applicant on the payment therefor to the City Clerk by said applicant the sum of
three hundred (300) dollars per annum in advance.
Section .
It shall be unlawful for any Junk Dealer to purchase or receive from any
minors, without the written consent of the parent or guardian, any article whatsoever.
Section 5.
Any company, corporation or person violating any of the provisions of this
Ordinance shall, on conviction, be fined in a sum not less than fifty (50) dollars
nor more than three hundred (300) dollars.
