AN ORDINANCE concerning the City Clerk.
Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Pueblo., Colorado.
Section 1.
The City Clerk shall be furnished an office by the City in City Hall. I t shall
be his duty to be in attendance at his office dailey (Sunday and legal holidays
excepted) from 8 o'clock A.M. to 12 o'clock P.M. and from 2 o'clock P.M. to 4
o'clock P.M. for the transaction of official business.
Section 2.
He shall attens all meeting and keep a regular and correct journal of the pro-
ceedings of the City Council; he shall have custody of the laws and ordinances of
the City; he shall carefully record the ordinances, resolutions and other matters
required by law; he shall see that all ordinances resolutions, notices and other
matters are published and shall preserve and file copies of all such ordinance #
resolutions notices and other matters; he 'shall have charge of all bonds, papers
and documents pertaining to his office or ordered to be kept on file therein; he
shall carefully index, file and arrange the same for convenient reference; he shall
make out all licenses authorized by the ordimaces of the City and attest the same
under the City Seal.
Section 3.
The City Clerk shall be the keeper of the City Seal and shall affix it to all
documents which require to be attested by the City go shall have the custody of
and safely keep all records and documents of the City except as otherwise pro-
vided by law or ordinance.
Section 4.
He shall without delay., deliver to the Mayor all ordinances resolutions, or
contracts in his charge or belonging to his office which may require to be approved
or otherwise acted upon by the Mayor together with all papers relative thereto
and upon which they were founded.

Section
The City Clerk shall futhermore do and perform all those duties and require—
ments imposed upon him by the laws of the State or by ordinances or resolutions
of the City Council now in force or hereafterto be adopted; and also such acts and
things not inconsistent with the duties of his office as may be required of him
by the Mayor or City Council or of any committee belonging thereto.
Section 6.
All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
