ORDINANCE NO 505
An Ordinance amending section 5 of Ordinance No 129, relating to the City
Scavenger, passed and approved June 11, 1888, and repealing Section 2 of said
Ordinance.
Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Pueblo.
Section 1.
That section 5 of Ordinance No. 129 relating to City Scavenger, passed and
approved June 11, 1888, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 5.
All garbage or other filth must be removed to such distance without the limits
of the City as the Council may from time to time direct, The Board of Health shall
have the power to prescribe such rules as it may deem proper, not inconsistant with
the ordinances of the City, to govern the manner and times for the collection and
removal of garbage, It shall be the duty of persons licensed to call regulai�y at
such places as they may be notified so to do and remove garbage, for the prices
hereinafter mentioned, deposited by housekeepers or in water light vessels at the
side of the alley adjacent to their houses or at their rear line of their lots
convenient of access. The maximum prices for removing garbage for hotel keepers
or others deposited as aforesaid and for cleaning Cass pools and privy vaults shall
be at the rate of twenty -five cents per barrel or less, and for cleaning cess-
pools or privy vaults the sum of twenty cents per cubic foot. A violation of the
provisions of this section shall subject the offender, upon conviction, to a fine of
not less than twenty -five dollars for each offense and to a revocation of his license
by order of the City Council,
Section 2.
That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 129 relating the City Scavenger, passed and
approved Junell, 1888 be and the same is hereby repealed.
