HomeMy WebLinkAbout00496a ORDINANCE NO 496 U An Ordinance concerning appropriations for the fiscal year of 1896. Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Pueblo, Colorado. Section 1. That there be and is hereby appropriated for the fiscal year of 1896, begining on the first day of April, 1896 and ending on the thirty -first day of March 1897 for the purpose of defraying the expenses and liabilities of said City for the use of the several funds, the following amountsp to wit: Salary fund - Eighteen thousand dollars $18,000.00 Printing and Stationary fund - Fifteen hundred dollars $1,500.00 Water and Irrigation fund - Twenty -two thousand dollars $22,000900 Sanitary fund - Six thousand dollars $6,000.00 Jail fund - Twelve hundred dollars $1 Public Library fund - Three thousand dollars $3,000.00 Pueblo bond interest fund - Seventeen thousand two- hundred and seventy dollars $17,270.00 Bessemer bond interest fund - Five hundred dollars $$500.00 Warrant interest fund - Twenty thousand dollars $$20000.00 C6ntingent fund - Three thousand dollars $3 , P 000.00 Lighting fund - Twenty -one thousand five hundred dollars $21 Fire department fund - Twenty -eight thousand dollars $28 . t 000.00 Police department fund - Twnnty thousand dollars $$20 Street and Bridge fund - Eleven thousand dollars $11 Sidewalk fund - One thousand dollars $1 . Sewer fund - Three thousand dollars $$3 Levee fund - Fifty thousand dollars $$50,,000.00 Judgement fund - Forty five hundred dollars $4500.00 Ordinance revision fund - five hundred dollars $500900 Sprinkling fund - Seven thousand dollars $7 .,000000 Street paving fund - Twenty -five hundred dollars $2 . Street grading fund - Three thousand dollars 03,000x00 Special fund for grading and draining in the vacinity of 5th, 6th and 7th and Greenwood aizabeth and West Streets - Thirty -five hundred dollars $3,500.00 Special fund for placing names on streets - one thosand dollars $1 Section 2. No part of the fund appropriated on the foregoing section for the Streets and Bridges and Street Grading shall be used for or applied to Street paving., or any expenditurd connected therewith. The fund appropriated for Street paving in the foregoing section shall be applied to the payment of the asses-sqMt for street paving that may be apportioned to the Government Building site at the corner of Fifth and Main Streets and for such proportion of the cost of street paving as may properly be borne by the city In accordance with provisions of Ordinance no. 490 concerning Street Paving and to no other purpose.
