HomeMy WebLinkAbout15695RESOLUTION NO. 15695 A RESOLUTION RATIFYI REAPPOINTMENT OF DENNIS MARONEY TO THE PUEBLO CONSERVANCY DISTRICT WHEREAS, PACOG duly convened and appointed Dennis Maroney to serve a five-year term expiring on July 31, 2029; it is now the desire of the Pueblo City Council to ratify said appointment; and BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that SECTION 1. The reappointment of Dennis Maroney to the Pueblo Conservancy District to serve a five-year term expiring July 31, 2029, shall be and hereby is ratified. SECTION 2. The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with this Resolution to implement the appointment described herein. SECTION 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon final passage. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: Joint City-County appointments to the Pueblo Conservancy District are made on an annual basis selecting individuals to serve expiring or vacant terms. Resolutions to ratify the joint appointments are passed by each entity. BACKGROUND: There is one vacancy on the Pueblo Conservancy District due to the term expiration of Dennis Maroney. During the PACOG meeting on June 27, 2024, the BOCC and City Council members reviewed the applications and appointed Mr. Maroney. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: There is no financial impact to the City of Pueblo. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: N/A STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: N/A ALTERNATIVES: City Council in agreement with the County Commissioners could remove the Resolution from the Agenda, and request that the recruitment process be extended in order to receive additional applications for consideration. RECOMMENDATION: Approval of the Resolution. ATTACHMENTS: None
