SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT BY THE MAYOR
OF MODESTO CARTAGENA TO SERVE A FOUR-YEAR TERM
EXPIRING AUGUST 1, 2028 ON THE LIQUOR AND BEER LICENSING
BOARD
SUMMARY:
This Resolution confirms the reappointment by the Mayor of Modesto Cartagena to
serve a four-year term expiring August 1, 2028 on the Liquor and Beer Licensing Board.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
he Mayor has made appointments to boards and commissions selecting individuals to
serve terms which expire during a particular calendar year and presented them to
Council for approval.
BACKGROUND:
Due to the term expiration of Modesto Cartagena, there is one position available to
serve a four-year term expiring August 1, 2028, on the Liquor and Beer Licensing
Board.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Members of the Liquor and Beer Licensing Board are paid $25 per meeting attended.
The chairperson of the board receives additional compensation totaling $50.00 per
month for each month of service as chair. These monies are allocated in the City

A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT BY THE
MAYOR OF MODESTO CARTAGENA TO SERVE A FOUR-
YEAR TERM EXPIRING AUGUST 1, 2028 ON THE LIQUOR
AND BEER LICENSING BOARD
WHEREAS, Mayor Heather Graham has requested confirmation by the City Council of
her reappointment of Modesto Cartagena to serve a four-year term expiring August 1, 2028 on
the Liquor and Beer Licensing Board; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that
SECTION 1.
The reappointment by the Mayor of Modesto Cartagena to serve a four-year term
expiring August 1, 2028, on the Liquor and Beer Licensing Board shall be and is hereby
confirmed by the City Council.
SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent
with this Resolution to implement the appointments described herein.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective on the date of final action by the Mayor and City
Council.
