HomeMy WebLinkAbout10727ORDINANCE NO. 10727 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING AN AMENDMENT TO AIRPORT IMPROVEMENT GRANT NO. 3-08-0046-047-2022 FROM THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION (FAA) ACTING FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA ADDING $31,059 FOR ADDITIONAL ENGINEERING AND DESIGN FOR THE REHABILITATION FOR RUNWAY 8R/26L, REMOVAL OF TAXIWAY A2, AND AIRPORT LIGHTING CONTROL MONITORING SYSTEM (ALCMS) REPLACEMENT, AND BUDGETING AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS TO PROJECT ACCOUNT AP2205 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. FAA Amendment Letter (Amendment No. 1) to AIP Grant No. 3-08-0046-047-2022 is hereby accepted. SECTION 2. Funds in the amount of $31,059 shall be budgeted and appropriated to Project Account AP2205. SECTION 3. The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with this Ordinance to implement the policies and procedures described herein. SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall become effective on the date of final action by the Mayor and City Council. Action by City Council: Introduced and initial adoption of Ordinance by City Council on June 10, 2024. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: Ordinance No. 10242 passed and approved by City Council on August 8, 2022, accepted the initial FAA Grant and established Project Account AP2205. Ordinance No. 10353 passed and approved by City Council on December 27, 2022, approved Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Engineering Services Agreement between Dibble and Associates Consulting Engineers, Inc., for the design for replacing BACKGROUND: During the initial design phase for the Rehabilitation for Runway 8R/26L and Removal of Taxiway A2, it was determined that the current ALCMS was out of date and needed to be replaced. The FAA approved the additional work to be performed as an amendment to the initial design phase. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: The FAA commits to increase the maximum obligation for reimbursement by $31,059. Funds for the amendment will be paid from Project Account AP2205. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: Not applicable to this Ordinance. STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: Not applicable to this Ordinance. ALTERNATIVES: If this Ordinance is not approved, the City will not be able to accept the additional grant reimbursement funds. RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Ordinance. ATTACHMENTS: 1.
