HomeMy WebLinkAbout15662RESOLUTION NO.15662 A RESOLUTION RATIFYING PACOG’S JOINT APPOINTMENT OF CHARLES MONTERA TO THE ELECTRICAL BOARD OF APPEALS WHEREAS, PACOG duly convened and appointed Charles Montera to serve a four-year term expiring on July 1, 2027, in the Contractor position on the Electrical Board of Appeals; it is now the desire of the Pueblo City Council to ratify said appointment; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that SECTION 1. The appointment of Charles Montera to the Electrical Board of Appeals in the Contractor position to serve a four-year term expiring July 1, 2027, shall be and hereby is ratified. SECTION 2. The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with this Resolution to implement the appointment described herein. SECTION 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon final passage. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: Joint City-County appointments to the Electrical Board of Appeals are made on an annual basis selecting individuals to serve expiring or vacant terms. Resolutions to ratify the joint appointments are passed by each entity. BACKGROUND: There is a vacancy on the Electrical Board of Appeals for the position of Contractor. During the PACOG meeting on May 23, 2024, the BOCC and City Council members reviewed the application and appointed Mr. Montera. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: This is a volunteer committee and members serve without compensation. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: N/A STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: N/A ALTERNATIVES: City Council in agreement with the County Commissioners could remove the Resolution from the Agenda, request that the recruitment process be extended in order to receive additional applications for consideration. RECOMMENDATION: Approval of Resolution. ATTACHMENTS: None
