HomeMy WebLinkAbout10706ORDINANCE NO. 10706 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 6-5-16 OF CHAPTER 5, OF TITLE VI OF THE PUEBLO MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE FY 2024 CLASSIFICATION AND PAY PLAN BY ESTABLISHING THE PAY SCALE FOR NON-PROFIT COMPLIANCE COORDINATOR BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. Section 6-5-16 (B) of Chapter 5, of Title VI, of the Pueblo Municipal Code referencing the Fiscal Year 2024 pay scale for the classification of Non-Profit Compliance Coordinator. 6-5-16. Schedule, classification, work week and monthly salary. The following shall constitute: B. The monthly pay range for the classification of Non-Profit Compliance Coordinator for 2024 SECTION 2. The officers and staff of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with the intent of this Ordinance to effectuate and transactions described therein. SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall become effective on the date of final action by the Mayor and City Council. Ordinance re-adopted on a vote of ____________, on _____________ ____________________________ President of City Council ATTEST ________________________________ City Clerk City Clerk's Office Item # R9 Background Paper for Proposed Ordinance COUNCIL MEETING DATE: May 13, 2024 TO: President Mark Aliff and Members of City Council CC: Mayor Heather Graham VIA: Marisa Stoller, City Clerk FROM: Heather Graham, Mayor Marisa Pacheco, Director of Human Resources SUBJECT: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 6-5-16 OF CHAPTER 5, OF TITLE VI OF THE PUEBLO MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE FY 2024 CLASSIFICATION AND PAY PLAN BY ESTABLISHING THE PAY SCALE FOR NON-PROFIT COMPLIANCE COORDINATOR SUMMARY: Attached for consideration is an amended Pay Plan Ordinance that reflects the addition of the pay rate and salary schedule for the classification of Non-Profit Compliance Coordinator. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: On December 11, 2023, Ordinance No.10614 was approved by City Council. This Ordinance provided the classification and pay plan for fiscal year 2024. BACKGROUND: This position will be responsible for tracking, vetting, and monitoring compliance of non- profit organizations and non-departmental outside agencies that receive funding from the City of Pueblo through either the annual budget process or off-cycle funding requests occurring during the year. This position will be a classified, non-bargaining position and will be subject to all hiring procedures under Civil Service rules and regulations. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: No additional funding is required in 2024 to fill this position. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: None. STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: None. ALTERNATIVES: The suggested change establishes the 2024 salary range for the classification of Non- Profit Compliance Coordinator. If this ordinance is not approved, and assuming the establishment of the position is approved, no salary range will be associated with the classification and the position cannot be filled. RECOMMENDATION: Approval of the Ordinance. ATTACHMENTS: None
