A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING TWO PROJECTS IN FUND
456- FIRE STATIONS. PROJECT CI2434 - PUMPER FIRE
APPARATUS FOR $900,000, AND PROJECT CI2435 - FIRE
STATION NO. 6, 8, AND 11, FOR $33,550,000 PLUS ANY
FUTURE FUNDS ALREADY BUDGETED AND APPROPRIATED.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that
SECTION 1.
Project CI2434 - Pumper Fire Apparatus, and Project CI2435 - Fire Station No. 6, 8, and
11 are hereby established.
SECTION 2.
Funds in the amount of $900,000 for Project CI2434 - Pumper Fire Apparatus, and funds
in the amount of $33,550,000, plus any future funds, for Project CI2435 - Fire Station No. 6, 8,
and 11, shall be allocated from already budgeted and appropriated funding.
SECTION 3.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent
with this Resolution to implement the policies and procedures described herein.
SECTION 4.
This Resolution shall become effective on the date of final action by the Mayor and City
Council.

SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING TWO PROJECTS IN FUND 456- FIRE
STATIONS. PROJECT CI2434 - PUMPER FIRE APPARATUS FOR
$900,000, AND PROJECT CI2435 - FIRE STATION NO. 6, 8, AND 11,
FOR $33,550,000 PLUS ANY FUTURE FUNDS ALREADY BUDGETED
AND APPROPRIATED.
SUMMARY:
This Resolution establishes two projects in Fund 456 - Fire Stations and allocates
already budgeted and appropriated funds to each new project. The two projects are,
Project CI2434 - Pumper Fire Apparatus, and Project CI2435 - Fire Station No. 6, 8,
and 11.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
On October 23, 2023, City Council passed Ordinance No. 10570 authorizing the City to
issue up to $36,000,000 in Series 2023 Certificates of Participation for the purpose of
financing the construction, improvement, and equipping of three fire stations. On March
11, 2024, City Council passed Ordinance No. 10670 establishing Fund No. 456 - Fire
Stations and budgeting and appropriating funds in the amount of $34,450,000 from the
issuance of the Series 2023 Certificates of Participation and all future funds received
into Fund No. 456.
BACKGROUND:
On December 21, 2023, the City closed and received the proceeds from the Series
2023 Certificates of Participation (COP). On March 11, 2024, Fund No. 456 - Fire
Stations was established and the proceeds from the COP issuance were budgeted and
appropriated to Fund No. 456. This Resolution allocated the already budgeted and
appropriated funds to four projects within Fund No. 456.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
The attached Resolution allocates already budgeted and appropriated funds in the
amount of $34,450,000 plus any additional revenue received to two projects in Fund
No. 456.
BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:
Not applicable to this Resolution.
STAKEHOLDER PROCESS:
Not applicable to this Resolution.
ALTERNATIVES:
Failure to adopt this Resolution will result in the City Council not establishing Project
CI2434 - Pumper Fire Apparatus, and Project CI2435 - Fire Station No. 6, 8, and 11 in
Fund No. 456 - Fire Stations.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of the Resolution
