A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT
IN THE AMOUNT OF $25,707.00 TO COLORADO FRONT
RANGE ROOFING, FOR PROJECT NO. 23-162, REPLACE
ROOF MEMBRANE ON POPE BLOCK BUILDING GENERATOR
ROOM, SETTING FORTH $4,293.00 FOR CONTINGENCIES,
AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT TO EXECUTE
SAME
WHEREAS, competitive bids for Project No. 23-162 Replace Roof Membrane on Pope Block
Bldg. Generator Room have been received and examined; AND,
WHEREAS, the proposal of Colorado Front Range Roofing, was the lowest bid determined
to be responsive, and the Committee of Awards recommends to the City Council that it
authorize Project No. 23-162, Replace Roof Membrane on Pope Block Bldg. Generator Room to be
performed; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that
SECTION 1.
The City Council authorizes Project No. 23-162, Replace Roof Membrane on Pope Block
Bldg. Generator Room to be performed, and the contract for said project is hereby awarded to
Colorado Front Range Roofing, in the amount of $25,707.00.
SECTION 2.
The Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the City of
Pueblo, a Colorado Municipal Corporation, and the City Clerk shall affix the seal of the City thereto
and attest same.
SECTION 3.
In addition to the amount of the bid set forth, as aforementioned, an additional amount as
stipulated in this section is hereby established for contingencies and additional work.
Contingencies and Additional Work………$4,293.00
SECTION 4.
Funding, in the amount of $30,000.00, will be paid from account Project ED2305, Pope Block
Membrane Replacement Project
SECTION 5.
The officers of the City of Pueblo are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with
this Resolution to implement the policies and procedures described herein.
SECTION 6.
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval.

SUMMARY:
Attached is a resolution awarding a construction contract to Colorado Front Range Roofing, for
Project No. 23-162, Replace Roof Membrane on Pope Block Bldg. Generator Room.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
Ordinance 10631, passed and approved on January 8, 2024, established a new project account
ED2305 - the Pope Block Building Generator Roof Membrane Replacement Project, and budgeted
and appropriated funds in the amount of $30,000 from 41300000-56901, Projects to be Determined
to said project account.
BACKGROUND:
This project will consist of replacing the existing membrane roof with a new fully adhered 60 mil
white TPO roof.
This Resolution awards the Construction Contract to Colorado Front Range Roofing.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Funding in the amount of $30,000.00, will be paid from account Project ED2305, Pope Block
Membrane Replacement Project.

None.
STAKEHOLDER PROCESS:
None.
ALTERNATIVES:
Denial of this resolution will cancel the project.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of the Resolution.
