HomeMy WebLinkAbout15482RESOLUTION NO. 15482 A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING $6,000.00 FROM PROJECT NO. CD1911 INTO PROJECT NO. CD2111 FOR THE DEMOLITION OF THE ALBANY BUILDING, BID NO. 23-142. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that SECTION 1. Funds in the amount of $6,000.00 are hereby transferred from Project No. CD1911 into Project No. CD211 for the demolition of the Albany Building, Bid No. 23-142. SECTION 2. The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with the intent of this Resolution which are necessary or desirable to implement the transactions described herein. SECTION 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval. CD1911 INTO PROJECT NO. CD2111 FOR THE DEMOLITION OF THE ALBANY BUILDING, BID NO. 23-142. SUMMARY: This Resolution transfers money from Project No. CD1911 Demolition into Project No. CD2111 Demolition for the demolition of the Albany Building. Additional funds are needed to meet the cost of the bid received under Project No. 23-142. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: Council previously awarded a demolition contract to Rockies Environmental and Demolition Services under Project No. 23-142 in the amount of $705,000.00 to demolish the Albany Building. The contract was funded from two project accounts: CD2111 Demolition Program - $117,195.72 and CIAN23 Unsafe Building Demolition - $ 587,804.28. BACKGROUND: The project is intended to arrest a public safety issue and remove blight. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: The resolution moves $6,000.00 from a project dedicated to demolition in the City’s 2019 Annual Action Plan and moves the funds to a project dedicated to demolition in the City’s 2021 Annual Action Plan. No new funds are required. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: The Citizen Advisory Committee recommended funding the activity. STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: None ALTERNATIVES: Council could elect not to allow the transfer to CD2111. RECOMMENDATION: Approval of the Resolution. ATTACHMENTS: None
