FOR COMMUNITY OUTREACH TO CONNECT COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO COMMUNITY RESOURCES AND ACCEPTANCE OF $80,000 FOR PROGRAM PROJECT PS2402 AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE SAME SUMMARY: The Grant Agreement, accepted by the Pueblo Fire Department, is for funding two positions who will provide assistance for people to connect to community resources. One position is to assist members of the community by providing telehealth education and connection to resources. The other position is to connect DOTS patients to resources based on their individual needs. The $80,000 is for program project funds to be placed in project PS2402. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: 2022 cooperation agreement with Health Colorado and acceptance of $42,300 in funds for use in the DOTS program. BACKGROUND: The Pueblo Fire Department, working with Health Colorado, Inc. seeks to promote whole person care through healthy neighborhoods bringing together members of physical and behavioral health care along with support services. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: Administration of positions. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: Not Applicable. STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: None. ALTERNATIVES: None. RECOMMENDATION: Approval of the Ordinance. ATTACHMENTS: None ORDINANCE NO. 10651 AN ORDINANCE TO APPROVE THE GRANT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PUEBLO AND HEALTH COLORADO, INC. FOR COMMUNITY OUTREACH TO CONNECT COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO COMMUNITY RESOURCES AND ACCEPTANCE OF $80,000 FOR PROGRAM PROJECT PS2402 AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE SAME BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. The Grant Agreement, attached hereto, after being approved by the City Attorney, is hereby approved, and the grant funds of $80,000 is to be placed in project PS2402 for use procuring two positions for community outreach, is hereby approved. SECTION 2. The Mayor, is hereby authorized to execute said Grant Agreement for and on behalf of the City and the City Clerk is authorized to affix the seal of the City thereto and attest same. SECTION 3. The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with this Ordinance and the attached Grant Agreement to implement the policies and procedures described therein. SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall become effective on the date of final action by the Mayor and City Council.
