A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT
IN THE AMOUNT OF $26,122.28 TO FINSTERWALD
LANDSCAPING AND IRRIGATION FOR PROJECT NO. 23-136,
CONCRETE IMPROVEMENTS - MORRIS AVENUE ALLEY,
SETTING FORTH $10,000 FOR CONTINGENCIES, AND
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT TO EXECUTE
SAME
WHEREAS, competitive bids for Project No. 23-136, Concrete Improvements - Morris
Avenue Alley have been received and examined; AND,
WHEREAS, the proposal of Finsterwald Landscaping and Irrigation was the lowest bid
determined to be responsive, and the Committee of Awards recommends to the City Council
that it authorizes Project No. 23-136, Concrete Improvements - Morris Avenue Alley to be
performed; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that
SECTION 1.
The City Council authorizes Project No. 23-136, Concrete Improvements - Morris Avenue
Alley to be performed, and the contract for said project is hereby awarded to Finsterwald
Landscaping and Irrigation in the amount of $26,122.28.
SECTION 2.
The Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the City
of Pueblo, a Colorado Municipal Corporation, and the City Clerk shall affix the seal of the City
thereto and attest same.
SECTION 3.
In addition to the amount of the bid set forth, as aforementioned, an additional amount
as stipulated in this section is hereby established for contingencies and additional work.
Contingencies and Additional Work………$10,000.00
SECTION 4.
Funds in the amount of $36,122.28, for the contract and contingencies, shall be from
account Project CI2204, Street Rehabilitation.
SECTION 5.
The officers of the City of Pueblo are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent
with this Resolution to implement the policies and procedures described herein.
SECTION 6.
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval.

SUMMARY:
Attached is a resolution awarding a Construction Contract to Finsterwald Landscaping
and Irrigation for Project No. 23-136, Concrete Improvements - Morris Avenue Alley.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
None.
BACKGROUND:
This project will consist of the installation of approximately 1300 linear feet of concrete
double gutter, curb and gutter replacement and 7" reinforced sidewalk. This Resolution
awards the construction contract to Finsterwald Landscaping and Irrigation.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Funds in the amount of $36,122.28 (contract and contingencies) will be paid from
account Project No. CI2204, Street Rehabilitation.

None.
ALTERNATIVES:
Denial of this resolution will cancel the project.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of the Resolution.
