AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF
$9,942.85 FROM PUEBLO TRANSIT ARPA AWARD NO. CO-
2023-019-00, INTO PROJECT NUMBER PT2201 SHOP TRUCK
REPLACEMENT PROJECT TO PURCHASE A NEW
MAINTENANCE VEHICLE
WHEREAS, in 2023, Unit 13 has exceeded useful life and financial viability
WHEREAS, the City has received grant funding to replace the vehicle; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
Funds in the amount of $9,942.85 are hereby transferred from Pueblo Transit ARPA
AWARD NO. CO-2023-019-00, into Project Number PT2201 Shop Truck Replacement Project
and will be used to purchase a maintenance vehicle.
SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent
with the intent of this Ordinance.
SECTION 3.
This Ordinance shall become effective on the date of final action by the Mayor and City
Council.

Final adoption of Ordinance by City Council on October 23, 2023.

SUMMARY:
This Ordinance transfers $9,942.5 from Pueblo Transit ARPA Award No. CO-2023-019-
00 into Project Number PT2201 Shop Truck Replacement Project for the replacement
of a Transit Maintenance Vehicle that has exceeded useful life and is no longer cost
effective to maintain.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
None.
BACKGROUND:
Unit 13 has exceeded useful life and is no longer financially viable to maintain. The
need for a maintenance vehicle exists and this ordinance will enable the purchase of a
replacement vehicle.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Pueblo Transit will be responsible for the replacement of Unit 13. Funds in the amount
of $9,942.85 from Project Number PT2302 are being transferred into Project Number
PT2201 which will enable the purchase of a replacement vehicle.
BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:
Pueblo Transit Board recommends approval.
STAKEHOLDER PROCESS:
Not applicable to this Ordinance.
ALTERNATIVES:
Should this Ordinance not pass, Pueblo Transit would have to make up the $9,942.80
for a new vehicle.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of the Ordinance.
