HomeMy WebLinkAbout10548ORDINANCE NO. 10548 AN ORDINANCE CLOSING PROJECT PT2202 BONUS PAY AND MOVING REMAINING FUNDS $25,506.80 INTO PROJECT PT2201 SHOP TRUCK REPLACEMENT TO PURCHASE A NEW MAINTENANCE VEHICLE WHEREAS, in 2022, the City received ARP Grant Funds for projects PT 2201 $75,000 Shop Truck Replacement, PT2202 $102,724 Bonus Pay, and PT 2203 $130,000 Bus Surveillance equipment. WHEREAS, the City has completed the projects and intends to expend the remaining funds on a maintenance vehicle; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. Remaining funds in project PT2202 Bonus Pay $25,506.80 shall be budgeted and appropriated into Pueblo Transit Project PT2201 Shop Truck Replacement and will be used to purchase a maintenance vehicle. SECTION 2. The officers and staff of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with the intent of this Ordinance. SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall become effective on the date of final action by the Mayor and City Council. Action by City Council: Introduced and initial adoption of Ordinance by City Council on August 28, 2023. Gradisar VIA: Marisa Stoller, City Clerk FROM: Benjamin Valdez, Transit Director SUBJECT: AN ORDINANCE CLOSING PROJECT PT2202 BONUS PAY AND MOVING REMAINING FUNDS $25,506.80 INTO PROJECT PT2201 SHOP TRUCK REPLACEMENT TO PURCHASE A NEW MAINTENANCE VEHICLE SUMMARY: This Ordinance closes project PT2202 Bonus Pay and reappropriates the remaining funds into project PT2201 Shop Truck Replacement to purchase an additional maintenance vehicle PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: None. BACKGROUND: In 2022, ARP Grant CO-2022-013-00 was budgeted and appropriated into projects PT 2201 $75,000 Shop Truck Replacement, PT2202 $102,724 Bonus Pay, and PT 2203 $130,000 Bus Surveillance Equipment. . All projects have been completed with the remaining funds to be placed in PT 2201 for another maintenance vehicle procurement. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: Pueblo Transit will be purchasing a new maintenance vehicle with the remaining grant funding. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: Pueblo Transit Board recommends approval. STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: Not applicable to this Ordinance. ALTERNATIVES: Should this Ordinance not pass, Pueblo Transit would have to return the remaining funds.
