HomeMy WebLinkAbout10537ORDINANCE NO. 10537 AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING $10,000 FROM ACCOUNT PROJECT CI2204, STREET REHABILITATION TO CI2205, FIRE 3 STATIONS - ARCH/DESIGN TO FUND ADDITIONAL DESIGN EFFORT FOR THE EXTENSION OF A WATER MAIN IN JERRY MURPHY ROAD, BUDGETING AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $10,000 AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAME WHEREAS, the Ordinance is necessary to transfer funds to complete the design of the water main extension on Jerry Murphy; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. Funds in the amount of $10,000.00 are hereby transferred from account Project CI2204, Street Rehabilitation into account Project CI2205, Fire 3 Stations - Arch/Design Project, and budgeted and appropriated account Project CI2205. SECTION 2. The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with this Ordinance to implement the policies and procedures described herein. SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall become effective on the date of final action by the Mayor and City Council. Gradisar VIA: Marisa Stoller, City Clerk FROM: Andrew Hayes, Public Works Director SUBJECT: AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING $10,000 FROM ACCOUNT PROJECT CI2204, STREET REHABILITATION TO CI2205, FIRE 3 STATIONS - ARCH/DESIGN TO FUND ADDITIONAL DESIGN EFFORT FOR THE EXTENSION OF A WATER MAIN IN JERRY MURPHY ROAD, BUDGETING AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $10,000 AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAME SUMMARY: This Ordinance transfers funds in the amount of $10,000.00 from account project CI2204 to CI2205 - Fire 3 Stations - Arch/Design Project, and budgets and appropriates funds totaling $10,000.00 for the Project. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: Ordinance 10110, dated February 14, 2022, established Fire Station 6, 8, and 11 Project, account Project CI2205, transferred $600,000.00 from the unappropriated fund balance of the general fund, and budgeted and appropriated $600,000.00. Ordinance 10188, dated June 13, 2022, transferred $609,245.00 from the unappropriated fund balance of the general fund, and budgeted and appropriated $609,245.00. Ordinance, 10202, dated June 27, 2022, transferred $270,000.00 from the "2022" unappropriated fund balance of the general fund, and budgeted and appropriated $270,000.00. Resolution 14938, dated July 11, 2022, awarded an agreement for Professional Design Services to Allred and Associates for Design and Engineering services of new Fire Stations 6, 8, and 11. Resolution 14921, dated June 27, 2022, awarded an agreement for Professional Services to Dunakilly Management Group Corporation for project representation, design review support, and construction inspection services for new Fire Stations 6, 8, and 11. BACKGROUND: This project is part of infrastructure and response improvements for the City of Pueblo and its Fire Departments, relocating Fire Stations 1, 6, and 8, and building a new Fire Station 11. NorthStar Engineering and Surveying, Inc., was contracted by the City of Pueblo to provide subdivision services for Fire Station 8. During the design of Fire Station 8, the Board of Water Works noted a requirement to extend the water main on Jerry Murphy from Blue Stem to Candytuft. This Ordinance transfers $10,000.00 from account Project CI2204 - Street Rehabilitation. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: The funds in the amount of $10,000.00 are being transferred from the account Project CI2204 to CI2205. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: None. STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: None. ALTERNATIVES: The design of the water main could not be accomplished without the funds from CI2204. RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Ordinance. ATTACHMENTS: None
