A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT BY THE
MAYOR OF DON BRUESTLE, SHARON CAMPBELL, MARY
AGNES LEONARD, AND ROBERT LONG TO SERVE A FOUR-
YEAR TERM EXPIRING AUGUST 31, 2027 ON THE PUEBLO
ADA ADVISORY COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, Mayor Nicholas A. Gradisar has requested confirmation by the City Council
of his appointment of Don Bruestle, Sharon Campbell, Mary Agnes Leonard, and Robert Long
to the Pueblo ADA Advisory Committee; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that
SECTION 1.
The appointment by the Mayor of Don Bruestle, Sharon Campbell, Mary Agnes Leonard,
and Robert Long to the Pueblo ADA Advisory Committee to serve a four-year term expiring
August 30, 2027 shall be and is hereby confirmed by the City Council.
SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent
with this Resolution to implement the appointments described herein.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective on the date of final action by the Mayor and City
Council.

SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT BY THE MAYOR
OF DON BRUESTLE, SHARON CAMPBELL, MARY AGNES LEONARD,

AUGUST 31, 2027 ON THE PUEBLO ADA ADVISORY COMMITTEE
SUMMARY:
This Resolution confirms the appointment by the Mayor of members to the to serve a
four-year term expiring August 30, 2027.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
The Mayor has made appointments to the Pueblo ADA Advisory Committee selecting
individuals to serve terms which expire during a particular calendar year and presented
them to Council for approval.
BACKGROUND:
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was signed into law on July 26, 1990 and
was amended most recently in January 2009. The ADA is a wide-ranging civil rights law
that prohibits discrimination based on disability. Disability is defined as "a physical or
mental impairment that substantially limits a major life activity," such as walking, seeing,
hearing, breathing, thinking, socializing, and working, for example. The ADA includes a
list of impairments to major life activities. For more information about what the ADA

Due to term expirations of Don Bruestle and Sharon Campbell and the existing
vacancies on the Committee, there are spots available to serve four-year terms.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
This is a volunteer committee and members serve without compensation.
