A RESOLUTION RATIFYING PACOG’S APPOINTMENT OF
TONY MONTOYA AND ANITA COFER TO THE COMMUNITY
SERVICES ADVISORY COMMISSION (CSAC) – JOINT CITY-
COUNTY APPOINTMENT
WHEREAS, there are six vacancies to be filled on the Community Services Advisory
Commission – Joint City-County appointment; and
WHEREAS, this Resolution ratifies the joint appointments made following the PACOG
meeting on June 22, 2023, by City-County Representatives who were present; NOW,
THEREFORE;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that
SECTION 1.
Tony Montoya and Anita Cofer are hereby appointed to the Community Services
Advisory Commission Joint City-County Appointment to complete a four-year term expiring April
30, 2027.
SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent
with this Resolution to implement the appointments described herein.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective on the date of final action by the Mayor and City
Council.

ADVISORY COMMISSION (CSAC) – JOINT CITY-COUNTY
APPOINTMENT
SUMMARY:
This Resolution ratifies the Joint City-County selection made to the Community
Services Advisory Commission (CSAC).
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
Joint City-County appointments to the Community Services Advisory Commission are
made on an annual basis selecting individuals to serve staggered four-year terms
th
expiring on April 30 of each year. Resolutions to ratify the joint appointments are
passed by each entity.
BACKGROUND:
Currently there are eight (8) vacancies on the Community Services Advisory
Commission due to term expirations and/or resignations. There are four vacancies for a
term ending April 30, 2027, one vacancy will expire April 30, 2024, two vacancies will
expire April 30, 2025, and one vacancy will expire April 30, 2026.
The recruitment process for 2023 was handled by the Pueblo County Staff seeking
volunteers to serve on this committee and two applications were received. Tony
Montoya is seeking re-appointment and the City received one new applicant, Anita
Cofer.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
This a volunteer committee and members serve without compensation.

N/A
ALTERNATIVES:
City Council in agreement with the County Commissioners could remove the Resolution
from the Agenda, request that the recruitment process be extended in order to receive
additional applications for consideration.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of the Resolution.
