A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT
IN THE AMOUNT OF $102,739 TO CEDAR RIDGE
LANDSCAPE, INC., FOR PROJECT NO. 23-072, SUNNYSIDE
NEIGHBORHOOD CONCRETE IMPROVEMENTS (CDBG),
SETTING FORTH $12,261 FOR CONTINGENCIES, AND
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT TO EXECUTE
SAME
WHEREAS, competitive bids for Project No. 23-072, Sunnyside Neighborhood Concrete
Improvements (CDBG) have been received and examined; and,
WHEREAS, the proposal of Cedar Ridge Landscape, Inc., was the lowest bid
determined to be responsive, and the Committee of Awards recommends to the City Council
that it authorize Project No. 23-072, Sunnyside Neighborhood Concrete Improvements (CDBG) to
be performed; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that
SECTION 1.
The City Council authorizes Project No. 23-072, Sunnyside Neighborhood Concrete
Improvements (CDBG) to be performed, and the contract for said project is hereby awarded to
Cedar Ridge Landscape, Inc., in the amount of $102,739.00.
SECTION 2.
The Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the City
of Pueblo, a Municipal Corporation, and the City Clerk shall affix the seal of the City thereto and
attest same.
SECTION 3.
In addition to the amount of the bid set forth, as aforementioned, an additional amount
as stipulated in this section is hereby established for contingencies and additional work.
Contingencies and Additional Work………$12,261.00
SECTION 4.
Funds in the amount of $115,000.00 shall be from account Project No. CD2112 Sunny
Side Neighborhood.
SECTION 5.
The officers of the City of Pueblo are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent
with this Resolution to implement the policies and procedures described herein.
SECTION 6.
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval.

SUMMARY:
Attached is a resolution awarding a Construction Contract to Cedar Ridge Landscape
Inc., for Project No. 23-072, Sunnyside Neighborhood Concrete Improvements (CDBG).
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
Resolution approved on June 26, 2023, transferred funds in the amount of $15,000.00
from account Project No. CD2018 to account Project No. CD2112 for Sunnyside
Neighborhood Improvements.
BACKGROUND:
This project will consist of concrete improvements to the sidewalks and curb ramps in the Sunnyside
Neighborhood, including the intersection of Sage Street and Windy Way/Kalispen Avenue, Sage
Street at the bus driveway entrance, and sidewalk and driveways along Kalispel Avenue, La Junta
Avenue, and Sage Street.
This Resolution awards the construction contract to Cedar Ridge Landscape, Inc.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Funds in the amount of $115,000.00 will be paid from account Project CD2112, Sunny
Side Neighborhood.

None.
STAKEHOLDER PROCESS:
None.
ALTERNATIVES:
Denial of this resolution will cancel the project.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of the Resolution.
