This transfer is authorized by Section 603 (C)(1)(C) of the American Rescue Plan Act and U.S. Treasury Final Rule 31 CFR 35.6. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: Not applicable to this Resolution. BACKGROUND: In 2019, all bleachers were removed from the City ball fields due to COVID-19. Since their removal, it was determined that the bleachers did not meet minimum safety height requirements and would require guardrails. During the June 5, 2023, Work Session, it was requested by members of City Council that City staff should also request ARPA funds to replace the bleachers at Stauter Field. The bleacher replacements will be part of a City recreation facility located in a Qualified Census Tract and an eligible use of ARPA funds. 31C.F.R. 35.6(b)(3)(ii)(A)(11)(ii). FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: Funding in the amount of $47,946.00 is available and will be paid out of Project CI2113 – American Rescue Plan. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: Not applicable to this Resolution. STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: Not applicable to this Resolution. ALTERNATIVES: City Council could decide not to authorize the ARPA funds for the purchase of the bleachers. RECOMMENDATION: Approval of the Resolution. ATTACHMENTS: 1. SalesQuote_06082301CO
