A RESOLUTION RATIFYING PACOG’S JOINT APPOINTMENT
OF ROBERT BARR TO THE FOUNTAIN CREEK WATERSHED
FLOOD CONTROL & GREENWAY DISTRICT GOVERNING
BOARD
WHEREAS, Mayor Nicholas A. Gradisar has requested confirmation by the City Council of
his ratification of Robert Barr to the Fountain Creek Watershed Flood Control & Greenway
District Governing Board to complete a two-year term expiring January 31, 2024; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that
SECTION 1.
Robert Barr is hereby appointed to the Fountain Creek Watershed Flood Control &
Greenway District Governing Board to complete a two-year term expiring January 31, 2024.
SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent
with this Resolution to implement the appointment described herein.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon final passage.

SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION RATIFYING PACOG’S JOINT APPOINTMENT OF
ROBERT BARR TO THE FOUNTAIN CREEK WATERSHED FLOOD
CONTROL & GREENWAY DISTRICT GOVERNING BOARD
SUMMARY:
This resolution ratifies the joint City-County appointment of member to the Fountain
Creek Watershed Flood Control & Greenway District Governing Board to complete a
two-year term.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
Joint City-County appointments to the Fountain Creek Watershed Flood Control &
Greenway District Governing Board are made on an annual basis. Resolutions to ratify
the joint appointments are passed by each entity.
BACKGROUND:
There is one vacancy on the Fountain Creek Watershed Flood Control & Greenway
District Governing Board due to the resignation of Jeff Chostner. Following the PACOG
meeting on February 23, 2023, the BOCC and City Council members reviewed the
applications and appointed Mr. Barr.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
This a volunteer committee and members serve without compensation from the City.
BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:
None.
STAKEHOLDER PROCESS:
None.
ALTERNATIVES:
City Council in agreement with the County Commissioners could remove the Resolution
from the Agenda, and request that the recruitment process be extended in order to
receive additional applications for consideration.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of the Resolution
