A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING TRANSFER FROM THE
COUNCIL CONTINGENCIES ACCOUNT IN THE 2023
GENERAL FUND BUDGET TO THE PUEBLO FOOD
PROJECT IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,000 TO SPONSOR
THE SUN, SOIL, WATER AG SUMMIT ON MARCH 17 - 18,
2023
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that
SECTION 1.
Payment in the amount of $2,000 from the Council Contingencies Account in the
2023 General Fund Budget is authorized to be transferred to Pueblo Food Project to
sponsor the Sun, Soil, Water Ag Summit on March 17 - 18, 2023.
SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts
consistent with the intent of this Resolution to implement the policies and procedures
described herein.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective upon passage and approval.

SUMMARY:
Attached for consideration is a request for support of the Pueblo Food Project in the
amount of $2,000 to sponsor the Sun, Soil, Water Ag Summit on March 17-18, 2023.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
N/A
BACKGROUND:
This two-day Summit holds several events including the 2nd Annual Pueblo Food
Summit Leadership Awards, a Food Business Pitch Competition, and, of course, a
Community-Led Summit, where we will gather to learn, share, inspire, and catalyze
food systems change.
On Friday, March 17 at 6 pm, the Food Systems Leadership Awards will honor leaders
in the Pueblo Food System and announce the pitch competition winners.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Funds in the amount of $2,000 would be transferred from the Council Contingencies
Account in the 2023 General Fund Budget to the Pueblo Food Project.
