HomeMy WebLinkAbout15132 RESOLUTION NO. 15132 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT FROM THE COUNCIL CONTINGENCIES ACCOUNT IN THE 2023 GENERAL FUND BUDGET TO THE STEELWORKS CENTER OF THE WEST, DBA BESSEMER HISTORICAL SOCIETY, IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,000 TO SPONSOR THE FACES OF CF&I DINNER ON SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 4, 2023 AT THE PUEBLO UNION DEPOT BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that SECTION 1. Payment in the amount of $1,000 from the Council Contingencies Account in the 2023 General Fund Budget is authorized to be paid to Steelworks Center of the West, DBA Bessemer Historical Society, to sponsor the Faces of CF&I Dinner on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at the Pueblo Union Depot SECTION 2. The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with the intent of this Resolution to implement the policies and procedures described herein. SECTION 3. This Resolution shall become effective upon passage and approval. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: None. BACKGROUND: The dinner and fundraising event will honor the following CF&I employees and be inducted into the CF&I Hall of Fame: Albert G. Neal, Albert Solano, John Martinez, Ramon A. Roldan, and Tim Flores. Kathrine Thomson & Linda L. Tremblay will be honored with the Award of Excellence. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: Funds in the amount of $1,000 would be paid from the Council Contingencies Account in the 2023 General Fund Budget to the Bessemer Historical Society. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: N/A STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: N/A ALTERNATIVES: City Council could choose not to authorize funding for this event.
