A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT FROM THE
COUNCIL CONTINGENCIES ACCOUNT IN THE 2023
GENERAL FUND BUDGET TO THE PUEBLO
COMMUNITY COLLEGE FOUNDATION IN THE AMOUNT
OF $1,000 TO SPONSOR THE PUEBLO HALL OF FAME
EVENT ON SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 18, 2023 AT THE
PCC FORTINO BALLROOM
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that
SECTION 1.
Payment in the amount of $1,000 from the Council Contingencies Account in the
2023 General Fund Budget is authorized to be paid to the Pueblo Community College
Foundation to sponsor the Pueblo Hall of Fame event on Saturday, February 18, 2023
at the PCC Fortino Ballroom.
SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts
consistent with the intent of this Resolution to implement the policies and procedures
described herein.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective upon passage and approval.

SUMMARY:
Attached for consideration is a request for support of the PCC Foundation in the
amount of $1,000 to sponsor a table at the Pueblo Hall of Fame event on Saturday,
February 18, 2023 at the PCC Fortino Ballroom.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
None.
BACKGROUND:
In 1991, the Pueblo Hall of Fame was established to honor individuals who by their
extraordinary effort, have contributed to the betterment or enhancement of Pueblo.
Nominees are considered on the basis of contributions in the following areas: arts and
humanities; business and labor; all facets of education; government; health and human
services; law; philanthropy; and science and technology. This year's inductees are Mike
Cafasso, Scott Richards, and Ralph Williams.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Funds in the amount of $1,000 would be paid from the Council Contingencies Account
in the 2023 General Fund Budget to the Pueblo Community College Foundation.
