AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF
FUNDS FROM PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT
OPERATING FUNDS TO PROJECT NO. CIAN20 - CITY
BUILDING REPAIRS IN THE AMOUNT OF $300,000
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
Funds in the amount of $300,000.00 shall be transferred from account 10140103
51040 (Public Works Engineering - Wages/General Service) to account CIAN20 (City
Building Repairs).
SECTION 2.
The officers of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with
this Ordinance to implement the policies and procedures described herein.
SECTION 3.
This Ordinance shall become effective on the date of final action by the Mayor
and City Council.

Final adoption of Ordinance by City Council on December 27, 2022 .

SUBJECT: AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS FROM
PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT OPERATING FUNDS TO PROJECT
NO. CIAN20 - CITY BUILDING REPAIRS IN THE AMOUNT OF $300,000
SUMMARY:
This Ordinance approves the transfer of funds from Public Works operational funds in
the amount of $300,000.00 to project account no. CIAN20 - City Building Repairs.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
None.
BACKGROUND:
Project No. CIAN20 - City Building Repairs is the project account which covers both
planned and emergency building repairs. The City has incurred numerous facility repair
projects in the fourth quarter which have exceeded the funding available in the City
Building Repairs project account.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
This Ordinance approves the transfer of $300,000.00 from Public Works operating funds to the City
Building Repairs capital project account (CIAN20).
BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:
Not applicable to this Ordinance.
STAKEHOLDER PROCESS:
Not applicable to this Ordinance.
ALTERNATIVES:
If this Ordinance is not approved, the Public Works Department will not have adequate
funding budgeted and appropriated to cover the cost of unplanned and emergency
repair requirements that have occurred or that may arise before the end of the fiscal
year.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of the Ordinance.
